APC crisis: Osinbajo, Tinubu, Akande boycott NEC meeting
The end of the crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, may still not be in sight as former governor of Lagos state and a national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu stayed away from the National Executive Committee, NEC at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
Also conspicuously meeting was the former interim national chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande. Though it was speculated before now whether Tinubu is a member of the NEC, but other party leaders like Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, Dr Niyi Adebayo, and Dr Chris Ngige were all admitted into the meeting, which lays to rest whether Tinubu should be in the meeting. Akande being a former national chairman of the party, is automatically a member of NEC.
The Vice President also stayed away from the meeting though, the national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun recognised his contributions to the success of the party.
